Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team in San Jose, California. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys, contributing to all facets of civil litigation while collaborating with a dynamic team of professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Assist attorneys in preparing and drafting legal documents, including motions, complaints, briefs, and other litigation materials
Manage evidence collection and organization to support case strategy and trial preparation
Conduct client and witness interviews to gather critical information for hearings, depositions, and trials
Coordinate e-discovery processes and collaborate with external vendors to fulfill discovery requirements efficiently
Utilize Microsoft Excel for data creation and analysis related to case management
Perform legal research and provide support for case development as permitted by California State Bar regulations
Oversee case management software to track deadlines, filings, and other litigation activities
Prepare exhibits and other materials necessary for trial proceedings
Ensure compliance with legal procedures and maintain meticulous documentation throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

Minimum of five years' experience as a paralegal in a civil litigation law firm
Proficiency in e-discovery processes and familiarity with coordinating discovery with external vendors
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data creation and analysis
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and legal document drafting
Experience with case management software to track and organize litigation activities
Must hold a Paralegal certificate or a degree in paralegal studies
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in legal case management
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively support attorneys in high-pressure environments
Must have experience in ESI Discovery
