A well-established San Francisco law firm specializing in business law, intellectual property, and complex litigation is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to provide full-time onsite support to its litigation group while a team member is on leave. This is a three-month temporary assignment offering the opportunity to work closely with a team of highly experienced attorneys in a collaborative, professional environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, correspondence, and discovery documents
Perform state, federal, and appellate e-filings, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures
Manage litigation calendaring, including deadlines, hearings, and trial schedules using firm systems
Generate and maintain Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs)
Support multiple attorneys with administrative and litigation-related tasks, including case tracking, court coordination, and client correspondence
Maintain organized case files and assist with trial preparation logistics as needed
Provide general administrative assistance, including document management, scanning, and proofreading
Requirements:
3+ years of litigation support experience (legal secretary, legal assistant, or paralegal) in a law firm setting
Proficiency in state, federal, and appellate e-filing systems (experience with One Legal, File & ServeXpress, or comparable platforms preferred)
Skilled in litigation calendaring (experience with CompuLaw, DocketCalendar, or similar tools preferred)
Demonstrated expertise in TOC/TOA preparation, formatting, and document version control
Strong command of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
experience with iManage, NetDocs, or other document management systems highly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain professionalism under pressure
Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program preferred
Must be able to report onsite in San Francisco 5 days a week for full duration of the assignment
