Provide advanced paralegal support to attorneys handling complex litigation and employment matters, including advice and counseling. Manage cases from inception through trial and appeal and work closely with attorneys, clients, and legal teams in a fast-paced, high-quality practice environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and case schedules, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local court rules
Draft and revise pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, correspondence, and other substantive legal documents
Coordinate incoming and outgoing records requests, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
Oversee all phases of discovery, including document review and production, e-discovery vendor coordination, and strategic support
Prepare for and support depositions, including compiling and organizing relevant materials
Lead trial preparation efforts, including exhibits, witness coordination, and courtroom support
Support employment-related matters, including familiarity with EEOC procedures and Oregon and Washington state equivalents
assist with position statements, responses to charges of discrimination, and requests for information
Requirements:
5+ years of litigation and trial-related paralegal experience
Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field strongly preferred (or equivalent experience)
Strong working knowledge of state, federal, and local court rules and procedures
Hands-on experience with discovery management tools and e-discovery platforms
Proven success supporting trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
Exceptional organizational, communication, and client service skills
Proficiency with legal technology and document management systems such as iManage, and Relativity
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a litigation and trial paralegal
Comprehensive knowledge of state, federal, and local court rules and procedures
Proficiency with discovery management tools and e-discovery platforms
Demonstrated success in supporting trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
