Job Description:

Join a dynamic mid-sized litigation firm specializing in insurance, business, and employment law as a Litigation Paralegal. We’re seeking a detail-oriented professional to provide on-site support during a maternity leave coverage from end of April to beginning of January. This is a contract role located in Sacramento, CA, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of complex litigation matters, and join a wonderful team of professionals.

Job Responsibility:

Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including case development, discovery, trial preparation, and management
Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents as needed
Conduct initial case assessments and legal research on various topics pertaining to insurance, business, and employment law
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel professionally and effectively
Track deadlines, court appearances, and other critical dates to ensure compliance with litigation timelines

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of litigation paralegal experience
Paralegal certification or equivalent education (required)
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures, including e-filing
Proficiency in litigation support tools like Case Management Systems, eDiscovery platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
