We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our mid-sized law firm client's team in Central Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves providing comprehensive case support to attorneys, ensuring deadlines are met, and managing legal documentation with exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates a high level of autonomy and organizational skills. This is an in-office position.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the scheduling of depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, ensuring all deadlines are accurately tracked and reminders are set in relevant systems
Draft legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, discovery, and disclosure statements, maintaining accuracy and compliance with legal standards
Coordinate the collection and preparation of medical records authorizations, including communication with opposing counsel and plaintiffs
Maintain and update case-related deadlines in Outlook, assigning tasks and creating reminders for attorneys
Meet regularly with attorneys to review case progress, follow up on assignments, and ensure timely completion of tasks
Prepare supplemental disclosure statements and ensure proper scheduling for follow-ups and responses
Enter billable time daily, ensuring accuracy and adherence to firm policies
Provide consistent case management support, including calendaring and docketing court deadlines
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, ensuring all necessary documentation and resources are ready for proceedings
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in Arizona civil litigation
Proficiency in discovery processes, including drafting and responding to requests
Strong knowledge of case management software
Demonstrated expertise in trial preparation and litigation support
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
High attention to detail and ability to follow through on assignments with minimal supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Familiarity with calendaring tools and legal document drafting
