Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their growing firm. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional that is eager to continue growing in the litigation space.
Job Responsibility:
Draft initial versions of pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and file them with the court
Perform administrative duties, including calendaring hearings and deadlines, organizing case files (both physical and electronic), managing logistics, and coordinating Teams/Zoom meetings
Maintain pleadings and discovery indices
Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices
Assist attorneys with interrogatories and other discovery requests
Gather relevant information from a variety of sources, including Westlaw and LexisNexis
Serve as a liaison between trial teams and internal/external third parties
Support attorneys with voir dire, jury selection, and witness preparation
Remain available during trial preparation and proceedings, as needed
Accurately enter billable time into billing software on a daily basis
Requirements:
Minimum of 5–7 years of consecutive experience as a Litigation Paralegal supporting attorneys at all levels
business litigation experience preferred
Strong knowledge of motions, discovery (including eDiscovery), evidence, litigation documentation, and court rules and procedures
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
Excellent writing and communication skills
Advanced proficiency with computer systems and databases
Experience with e-filing platforms (state and federal courts)
Demonstrated proficiency in commonly used software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and cloud-based platforms such as Box and Clio (or similar case management/billing systems)
Current Notary Public commission in Georgia, or willingness to obtain within three months of employment
Paralegal associate degree or other relevant certification required
Nice to have:
Familiarity with litigation support tools and eDiscovery processes is a plus
