We are seeking a seasoned litigation paralegal to support our client’s legal team based in McLean, Virginia. The position involves partnering closely with attorneys to coordinate case progression, perform legal research, and contribute to all phases of trial readiness. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills, initiative, and a high level of precision in handling legal documents and procedural requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Perform preliminary case reviews, including factual investigations and targeted legal research to inform litigation strategy
Prepare, format, and submit pleadings, motions, and appellate submissions in accordance with applicable procedural rules
Review and edit legal documents for substantive accuracy, citation integrity, and compliance with citation standards
Maintain organized case management systems, including tracking pleadings, correspondence, and discovery records
Manage scheduling and logistical arrangements for court appearances, depositions, and trial activities
Provide discovery support by assisting with written discovery, document production workflows, and response coordination
Assemble and manage trial materials, including evidentiary files, exhibit binders, and briefing appendices
Act as a liaison among attorneys, clients, experts, and vendors to streamline case communications
Assist with trial preparation tasks such as juror research, witness coordination, and courtroom support
Support resolution efforts and handle post-proceeding file organization and documentation
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a litigation paralegal
Strong knowledge of motions, discovery processes, litigation documentation, and court rules
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in legal writing, communication, and attention to detail
Expertise in case management software and legal databases
Familiarity with Bluebook citation standards and proofreading
Paralegal certificate, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent certification preferred
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and legal teams
