Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join a national law firm located in Houston. As the Litigation Paralegal, you will assist attorneys in all stages of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and post-trial activities. This opportunity is full-time, direct hire, and fully on-site for the first 90-days. Following the initial training period, the Litigation Paralegal would be eligible to work remotely one day per week.
Job Responsibility:
Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents
Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information
Manage case files and maintain organized and up-to-date records
Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court-related events
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates on case progress
Prepare trial exhibits, witness lists, and other materials for court proceedings
Review and summarize medical records, deposition transcripts, and other documents
Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements
Assist with the preparation of settlement agreements and other legal documents
Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys and management
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, defense experience required
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document management
Proficiency in legal research tools and software
Strong written and verbal communication
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Bachelor's degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution preferred
