Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. This role supports a dynamic plaintiff-side medical malpractice and personal injury practice, with a strong focus on discovery management and handling medical records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and skilled at managing complex case files from intake through trial.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft and respond to written discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
  • Organize and prepare discovery responses while assisting attorneys with strategy and case organization
  • Request, track, and obtain medical records and billing from healthcare providers, hospitals, and third-party vendors
  • Review, summarize, and index large volumes of medical records and billing information
  • Develop medical chronologies and case summaries for attorney evaluation
  • Maintain and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness in both electronic and physical formats
  • Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, subpoenas, witness files, and trial binders
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, medical providers, and opposing counsel as needed
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and discovery schedules

Requirements:

  • Extensive litigation paralegal experience in medical malpractice and/or personal injury cases
  • Proficiency in managing discovery requests and responses
  • Hands-on experience with organizing and analyzing medical records
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and court rules
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
