A national law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced Litigation Paralegal in its Tampa office.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate professionally, productively, and efficiently with clients, contacts, attorneys, other paralegals, and all other professional staff
Assist attorneys in drafting pleadings, performing factual and legal research, reviewing and analyzing documents, and supporting preparations for hearings, depositions, and mediations
Review, gather, and organize client documents from production to discovery
Research, organize and summarize records, as needed, to assist in data gathering, including organizing of information and documents in databases
Assist with preparing discovery requests and responses
Assist in trial preparation, including drafting pre-trial pleadings, preparing exhibits, coordinating witnesses and requests with outside vendors, and live trial support
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree and/or an ABA-approved paralegal certificate required
Experience in litigation support and case management
Ability to adapt to changes in work environment and manage multiple cases, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience drafting and organizing discovery, both written discovery and document production
Experience preparing for and assisting at trial
Familiarity with the Florida State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Experience with Summation Pro, Relativity or comparable litigation support software
Excellent analytical and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail, organizational and technical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Nice to have:
Three or more years of experience working as a litigation-focused paralegal, preferably in a large law firm setting
