Dvorak Law Group is seeking an experienced and highly organized Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation practice group. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys client interaction, and has a passion for supporting complex litigation transactions. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys across a wide range of commercial disputes, including business litigation, employment matters, contract disputes, real estate, and other general commercial litigation.
Job Responsibility:
Support attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception through trial, appeal, and resolution
Draft, edit, and format pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, correspondence, and other court filings in accordance with firm and court standards
Coordinate and manage discovery, including collection, organization, and review of documents and evidence through e-discovery platforms and document databases
Assist as needed with deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation, including creating exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, and electronic presentations
File and serve pleadings and other legal documents in state and federal courts (both electronic and paper filings) while ensuring compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines
Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and manage case-related tasks to ensure timely completion
Conduct factual and legal research using court records, dockets, and other online resources
Communicate directly with clients, court personnel, witnesses, and third parties to gather information, coordinate logistics, and provide case updates as needed
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and discovery databases in accordance with firm standards
Provide administrative and project support to attorneys and assist with special projects as assigned
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Experience with e-discovery and case management platforms (e.g., NetDocuments)
Strong understanding of court filing procedures, rules of civil procedure, and local court requirements
Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and high-level proofreading and formatting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff
Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Commitment to professionalism, discretion, and delivering high-quality client service
Must be willing to undergo a background check
