Job Description:

A prestigious boutique law firm in the heart of the Chicago Loop specializing in complex litigation is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team. The role involves supporting attorneys in high-stakes litigation cases, mentoring staff, engaging with clients, and performing critical trial preparations. Job Responsibility:

Provide support to attorneys handling complex litigation matters from inception through trial
strengthen case teams by collaborating with attorneys and paralegals
mentor and train staff
own projects and manage team members on cases
engage with clients to meet high standards of service and quality
perform litigation preparation and trial support
finalize briefs, including cite checking, proofreading, and building TOC/TOA
create deliverables with excellent formatting and attention to detail
prepare trial binders, pleadings, and evidence exhibits
adapt to varied workflows depending upon case needs
work during high-demand periods including late hours, weekends, or extended travel

Requirements:

5–10 years of litigation paralegal work
preference for candidates with law firm experience other than personal injury or plaintiff firms
highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to collaborative success
capable of taking ownership of responsibilities, demonstrating leadership, and managing staff effectively
strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including styles, formatting, and advanced features for legal documents
confidence in adopting and training on legal technology platforms
cite checking, bluebooking, and ensuring accuracy of legal references
building indexes, TOC/TOA, and proofreading documents to the highest standards
familiarity with eDiscovery platforms is a plus
