Our client, a leading downtown law firm has an immediate need for an organized, motivated, and detail-oriented Employment Litigation Paralegal to join their office. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled Paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while proactively handling the needs of busy attorneys in the Employment Litigation Practice Group. The candidate will be able to apply structure and organization to the diverse tasks that a first-in-class employment practice demands.
Job Responsibility
Organize active litigation matters, deadlines, case calendars and dockets
Draft initial pleadings, discovery, and correspondence and proof final work product
Assist attorneys with deposition, hearing and trial preparation and court filings
Manage document production, including organizing, reviewing and analyzing discovery responses and requests
Conduct factual research and witness interviews
Provide support to attorneys to ensure deadlines are met and attorney work product is of the highest professional quality
Requirements
At least 7 years of paralegal experience supporting litigation matters within a law firm environment
Demonstrated background in employment litigation, commercial litigation, civil litigation, or other complex dispute matters
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Hands-on experience preparing for trial, including exhibit management, coordination of case materials, and attendance during trial proceedings
Strong ability to manage case organization, calendaring, and document-intensive workflows across multiple active matters
Proficiency with Relativity and modern e-discovery technology, including technology-assisted review and predictive coding
Excellent written communication, proofreading, and organizational skills with a high level of professionalism and accuracy
