A Chicago-based legal practice is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with experience in personal injury matters to support its litigation team. This role is suited for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. The position offers the opportunity to be involved in all stages of case development and trial preparation.
Job Responsibility
Provide support to attorneys throughout the lifecycle of personal injury cases, from initial intake through resolution or trial
Prepare legal documents including pleadings, discovery materials, and routine correspondence
Maintain case files and monitor litigation deadlines to ensure timely case progression
Schedule and coordinate depositions, court appearances, and related filings
Serve as a point of contact for clients, healthcare providers, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel
Review, organize, and summarize medical records, billing statements, and other evidentiary materials
Assist with trial readiness, including preparing exhibits, organizing case materials, and coordinating witnesses
Requirements
At least two years of experience supporting litigation matters, with a focus in insurance defense, workers compensation, or tort law
Strong organizational abilities and careful attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage competing priorities effectively
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with legal practice tools and standard office software
Comfortable working collaboratively within a team environment
Demonstrated initiative and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities
