Job Description

This role is ideal for a seasoned legal secretary who thrives in a fast-paced trial environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys on complex matters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a premier trial firm and contribute meaningfully to high-stakes litigation.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide high-level litigation support to attorneys in a trial-focused practice
  • Draft, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Prepare and manage TOAs and TOCs
  • Handle e-filing in state and federal courts
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and trial schedules
  • Coordinate trial preparation, including binders, exhibits, and filings
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation legal secretary experience (trial firm experience strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with state and federal court filings
  • Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures and deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
  • At least 5 years of experience as a legal secretary in civil litigation
  • Proficiency in handling court filings at both state and federal levels
  • Strong knowledge of e-filing systems and processes
  • Familiarity with calendaring software, preferably Compulaw
  • Expertise in document formatting and management, including the use of iManage
  • Solid trial preparation experience, including organizational and logistical tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours and provide overtime support when needed
