Robert Half Legal is actively partnering with a boutique defense law firm located in Century City to fill a Litigation Legal Secretary position. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to join a collaborative and dynamic team while advancing their career. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for attorneys specializing in litigation
  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
  • Manage litigation calendars, including scheduling court deadlines, hearings, and depositions
  • File court documents both electronically and manually, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local court rules
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Handle communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and preparing trial binders
  • Perform administrative tasks such as timekeeping, expense reporting, and coordinating travel arrangements for attorneys

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm setting, preferably in a defense firm
  • Proficiency in legal software, including e-filing systems (e.g., CourtConnect, CM/ECF) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong proofreading, organizational, and multi-tasking skills with a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working effectively with attorneys, clients, and external contacts
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
