Job Description:

Contract-to-hire opportunity for a Litigation Legal Secretary to provide direct support to one partner on a busy 3–5:1 desk within a premier law firm headquartered in Los Angeles.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the assigned partner, including document preparation, case management, and calendar maintenance
  • Support litigation procedures, including court filings (state and federal), trial preparation, and e-filing
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
  • Efficiently manage complex schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
  • Maintain and organize case files, records, and confidential information in compliance with firm policies
  • Liaise with courts, clients, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
  • Assist with billing, time entry, and invoice management as needed
  • Collaborate with other secretaries and team members in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems in California
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in legal document management software and MS Office Suite
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
