Contract-to-hire opportunity for a Litigation Legal Secretary to provide direct support to one partner on a busy 3–5:1 desk within a premier law firm headquartered in Los Angeles.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to the assigned partner, including document preparation, case management, and calendar maintenance
Support litigation procedures, including court filings (state and federal), trial preparation, and e-filing
Draft, review, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
Efficiently manage complex schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements
Maintain and organize case files, records, and confidential information in compliance with firm policies
Liaise with courts, clients, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
Assist with billing, time entry, and invoice management as needed
Collaborate with other secretaries and team members in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of litigation legal secretary experience in a law firm environment
Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and e-filing systems in California
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in legal document management software and MS Office Suite
Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities
High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
