A highly regarded, mid-sized boutique firm in Downtown Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a team handling sophisticated commercial litigation matters. Job Responsibility:
Prepare, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, and correspondence
E-file in state and federal courts (including CM/ECF)
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and case logistics
Coordinate depositions, meetings, and trial preparation
Maintain and organize case files and litigation documents
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Requirements:
4+ years of litigation legal secretary experience, preferably within commercial litigation
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
High attention to detail, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary in a law firm environment
Proficiency in e-filing and court filing processes, particularly for complex litigation cases
Strong organizational skills, including calendar management and prioritization of tasks
Familiarity with dictation tools and transcription software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in correspondence
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team setting
Tech-savvy with experience using legal software and tools for document management
Nice to have:
Knowledge of bankruptcy and corporate finance procedures is a plus
