The Litigation Legal Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our litigation team. The role-holder will require strong multitasking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate lawyers’ schedules, book meetings and conference calls, manage email inboxes, and ensure timely responses and e-filing of correspondence
Draft and format pleadings, motion records, books of authorities, and affidavits of service
Arrange for filing of court documents and schedule examinations for discovery
Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
Review and finalize prebills, monitor budgets and fee estimates, assist with quarterly reporting, and manage Accounts Receivable follow-up
Open new matters in the intake system, prepare retainer letters and zero-rate forms, and manage time entries and closures in Intapp
Prepare and revise PowerPoint presentations, update client information in CRM systems, and maintain lawyer profiles
Arrange travel logistics including flights, hotels, car rentals, and conference registrations
Track and record Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours for lawyers
Requirements:
A Legal Assistant diploma is required
Strong experience supporting litigation lawyers in a corporate or law firm environment
Familiarity with all levels of court procedures
Proficient in using Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and able to exercise sound judgment
Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
