Our client is looking for a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team in Newport Beach, California. This is a Contract to permanent position where you will play a vital role in supporting legal operations and ensuring efficient case management. The ideal candidate will have expertise in civil litigation processes and be highly skilled in handling court filings and calendaring tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Manage case files and ensure documents are organized, updated, and easily accessible
Perform e-filing in district, state, and federal courts with precision and adherence to deadlines
Prepare litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials
Handle calendar management by scheduling court dates, deadlines, and appointments
Coordinate with attorneys and clients to ensure all case-related needs are met efficiently
File legal documents with courts and maintain compliance with filing requirements
Assist with administrative tasks, including correspondence and document preparation
Conduct research and gather information to support litigation cases
Requirements:
Proficiency in e-filing systems for district, state, and federal courts
Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and legal terminology
Experience in managing calendars and tracking legal deadlines
Familiarity with court filing requirements and procedures
Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with attorneys and clients
