This respected and popular downtown firm is looking for a dedicated Litigation Legal Assistant to support a team of attorneys in Dallas, Texas, in their Litigation Tax Controversy Section. This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in legal administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will excel in handling litigation matters, managing deadlines, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and revising legal documents and correspondence
Accurately proofread and edit legal documents to ensure precision and compliance
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, as well as handle phone calls and coordinate conference calls
Organize and maintain client files, ensuring timely updates and proper filing systems
Oversee calendar management, scheduling deadlines, appointments, and court dates
Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys and ensure all logistics are handled efficiently
Review monthly billing memos and assist with time entry for attorneys
E-file legal documents in both Federal and State Courts with proficiency
Communicate effectively with clients and internal personnel to address inquiries and facilitate smooth operations
Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience as a legal or executive assistant, in litigation
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proven ability to draft administrative or court forms accurately and efficiently
Expertise in managing multiple calendars and scheduling deadlines
Demonstrated proficiency in e-filing legal documents in Federal and State Courts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and clarity
Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle complex tasks effectively
Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
