We are looking for a meticulous Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team in Frisco, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment while gaining valuable experience. The role will require a strong administrative skill set, the ability to handle legal documentation, and a proactive approach to supporting attorneys in their daily operations.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, organize, and manage legal documents, including drafting engagement letters, filing documents in federal court, and creating tables of contents and authorities
Assist with e-filing and court filings to ensure timely and accurate submissions
Support litigation attorneys by handling Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 filings, fraud cases, mechanics liens, and construction-related matters
Manage calendar schedules, deadlines, and appointments for attorneys to optimize workflow
Coordinate billing processes for attorneys, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing
Conduct document labeling and organization (e.g., Bates labeling) for efficient retrieval and reference
Provide administrative support for debt reconciliation, default judgments, and commercial real estate matters
Draft legal documents and correspondence, maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy
Assist with client interactions and communication, ensuring a courteous approach
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably with exposure to intellectual property or civil litigation
Familiarity with e-filing systems and court filing procedures
Proficiency in managing calendars and scheduling for attorneys
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of legal documentation processes, including drafting and filing
Ability to work fully onsite during the initial 90 days, with potential hybrid flexibility thereafter
Business casual attire required, with jeans permitted on Fridays
