This popular downtown Dallas Law Firm is looking for a dynamic Litigation Legal Assistant to support her attorneys in the litigation Section. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with experience in litigation support and administrative tasks within the legal field. You will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes, supporting attorneys, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the preparation, drafting, and formatting of legal pleadings and documents for civil, commercial, and defense litigation cases
Coordinate and oversee the electronic filing (e-filing) of legal documents with courts and other relevant entities
Maintain and update attorney calendars, including scheduling court appearances, meetings, and deadlines
Organize and manage docket systems to ensure compliance with all legal timelines and requirements
Provide administrative support by handling correspondence, managing records, and maintaining document integrity
Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court representatives to relay essential information and updates
Assist in trial preparation by organizing exhibits, filing motions, and compiling case files
Ensure that litigation documents are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner
Research and retrieve case-related information to support legal proceedings
Monitor and prioritize daily administrative tasks to ensure efficient workflow
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a litigation legal administrative role
Proficiency in e-filing systems and familiarity with court procedures
Strong organizational skills, with experience in managing calendars and docket systems
Knowledge of drafting and formatting legal pleadings and documents
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with attorneys, clients, and court officials
Mid-to-large size law firm experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, document management systems (NetDocs) and billing software (Carpe Diem)
Nice to have:
