Litigation Legal Assistant

• Manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly organized and accessible
• Handle e-filing and court submissions with precision and adherence to deadlines
• Schedule and maintain calendars, including appointments, deadlines, and court dates
• Prepare legal documents and correspondence to support litigation and pre-trial activities
• Oversee pre-litigation workflows and assist in trial preparation
• Utilize Merus and Clio software effectively for case management and documentation
• Provide support primarily for general liability cases, with occasional involvement in personal injury matters
• Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to ensure smooth case progression
• Maintain clear and thorough communication with clients and external parties
• Monitor and follow up on deadlines to ensure compliance with all court requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense and civil litigation
• Proficiency in using Merus and Clio software for legal case management
• Demonstrated expertise in e-filing and handling court submissions
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Familiarity with general liability cases
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of legal work
