Job Description:

A boutique trial firm in Seattle is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join their practice and support cases of plaintiff-side medical malpractice. They offer very collaborative team-culture and the flexibility to work from home on a regular hybrid basis. The team collaborates on all the cases together.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support multiple attorneys with a total case load between 30-40 litigated matters with the help of a part time paralegal and medical records assistant
  • Support cases of plaintiff-side medical malpractice

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in plaintiff or defense personal injury litigation in Washington
  • Experience e-filing in Washington state and federal courts
  • Prior experience calendaring, scheduling depositions, and managing deadlines
  • Experience drafting demand letters, preparing and proofreading pleadings, helping with discovery, prepping for trial
  • Experience requesting and organizing medical records and familiarity with medical terminology
  • Proactive communicator, with proven performance in a remote or hybrid role
