Job Responsibility:
Legal Drafting & Review: Draft, review, and proofread high-stakes legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with meticulous attention to detail
Case Management: Maintain a master-level organization of electronic and physical case files, ensuring all materials are current and accessible
Discovery Coordination: Facilitate the discovery process by preparing documents for production, tracking critical deadlines, and reviewing responses
Stakeholder Interaction: Conduct professional interviews with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather essential case information
Administrative Excellence: Manage lawyers' calendars, schedule meetings, and handle docketing accurately to support firm management systems
Professional Communication: Act as a primary point of contact for clients and court personnel, maintaining exceptional etiquette and clarity in all correspondence
Requirements:
Licensed Paralegal in good standing and/or possess a recognized Law Clerk diploma
Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in a litigation environment is required
Deep understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS)
Proficient in legal research, docketing software, and advanced document management practices
Exceptional proofreading abilities, professional phone etiquette, and the organizational prowess to manage multiple cases simultaneously without missing a deadline
