Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with a BUSY law firm in the Greater Portland Area to identify a Litigation Attorney who is ready to IMMEDIATELY jump in to assist and possibly join their team. This position is contract with potential for extension/conversion into a permanent role.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a portfolio of matters involving insurance defense, personal injury, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, and construction defect claims
  • Prepare and revise pleadings, answers, motions, briefs, and other case documents with strong attention to legal accuracy and deadlines
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to support litigation strategy, motion practice, and case development
  • Review discovery materials, draft written responses, and identify important evidence relevant to liability and damages issues
  • Meet directly with clients and insured parties to gather case details, provide updates, and support ongoing defense strategy

Requirements

  • Active Washington attorney license required
  • At least 2 years of litigation experience, with prior work in personal injury matters strongly preferred
  • Background in personal injury or insurance defense, including motion drafting, briefing, discovery, and legal research
