We are looking for a Litigation Attorney to join a service-focused organization on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent. This role is well suited for a licensed attorney who can balance litigation support, subpoena response work, and investigative review while managing multiple priorities. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams and outside counsel to support legal strategy, documentation, and timely case progression.
Job Responsibility:
Manage subpoena and information request matters by reviewing legal demands, preparing responses, and helping ensure deadlines are met
Partner with operational teams to gather relevant records, clarify issues, and elevate concerns when legal or business risk is identified
Support a diverse litigation workload by organizing case materials, reviewing discovery, and contributing to strategy assessments
Assist with internal investigations through fact development, document analysis, and preparation of findings and recommendations
Coordinate with outside counsel to maintain clear communication, align on case expectations, and monitor completion of assigned deliverables
Oversee multiple legal projects at once by tracking milestones, prioritizing urgent needs, and driving work toward timely resolution
Compile, organize, and evaluate legal documents to support decision-making, regulatory review, and case readiness
Exercise sound legal judgment within the scope of the role while taking ownership of assigned matters and follow-through
Contribute to motion and briefing support by helping prepare case-related materials and reviewing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
Active license to practice law and ability to work in a litigation-focused legal role
Experience in civil litigation, including exposure to case strategy, discovery, and document review
Demonstrated ability to draft or support motions, briefs, and other legal filings
Knowledge of subpoena handling and experience responding to information or document requests
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines across multiple matters
Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with internal stakeholders and external counsel
Analytical approach to reviewing facts, documents, and legal issues to support recommendations and next steps.
