Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm based in West Los Angeles, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its successful Plaintiff Lemon Law team. The firm is open to attorneys at various experience levels and offers a unique combination of substantive litigation work, trial exposure, mentorship, and flexible remote work arrangements for experienced candidates.
Job Responsibility
Handle all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
Manage written discovery and document review
Take and defend depositions as experience permits
Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process
Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings
Requirements
Active California Bar license in good standing
Some litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation matters
Ability to draft legal motions, briefs, and other case-related filings
Working knowledge of discovery practice, deposition preparation, and general pretrial procedures
Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic, client-centered, and detail-focused approach
Ability to manage multiple matters effectively while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
Spanish language skills are preferred but not required
Experience with lemon law or consumer protection cases is helpful but not mandatory
