Job Description

Our client, a well-established mid-sized law firm based in West Los Angeles, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its successful Plaintiff Lemon Law team. The firm is open to attorneys at various experience levels and offers a unique combination of substantive litigation work, trial exposure, mentorship, and flexible remote work arrangements for experienced candidates.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy recommendations
  • Manage written discovery and document review
  • Take and defend depositions as experience permits
  • Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
  • Work directly with clients throughout the litigation process
  • Assist with trial preparation and trial proceedings

Requirements

  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • Some litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation matters
  • Ability to draft legal motions, briefs, and other case-related filings
  • Working knowledge of discovery practice, deposition preparation, and general pretrial procedures
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an empathetic, client-centered, and detail-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple matters effectively while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
  • Spanish language skills are preferred but not required
  • Experience with lemon law or consumer protection cases is helpful but not mandatory
