Job Description:

Join a select legal team driving critical insurance recovery and complex commercial litigation related to the Pacific Palisades fire, representing high-profile individuals and organizations. As a key contributor to a confidential, high-stakes project, you’ll advise on strategic case development, serve as a trusted client advocate, and work to secure substantial recovery for those affected.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle all phases of commercial and insurance litigation matters stemming from the Pacific Palisades fire, including case strategy, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and trial preparation
  • Provide sophisticated, practical legal counsel to high-profile clients facing significant financial, property, and business impacts from the disaster
  • Develop and implement client recovery strategies—articulating the unique value and approach tailored to those impacted
  • Engage directly with fire victims, insurance representatives, and other stakeholders to build trust, clarify goals, and deliver exceptional results
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to shape the firm’s advocacy for wildfire victims, including helping close new engagements and expanding key client relationships
  • Analyze complex insurance and litigation issues, synthesize large volumes of evidence and facts, and distill actionable, business-driven recommendations
  • Draft, review, and finalize high-quality litigation documents, including settlement communications, legal briefs, memoranda, and client updates, with minimal oversight
  • Operate at the highest level of discretion and professionalism in a fast-paced environment where confidentiality is paramount

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years’ law firm experience in complex commercial litigation and/or insurance recovery matters
  • Previous involvement in mass torts, wildfire recovery, or disaster litigation is highly valued
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, engage, and manage relationships with sophisticated, high-profile clients
  • Impeccable written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • proven advocacy for complex litigation
  • California Bar admission in good standing
  • must reside in Southern California for occasional strategy meetings
  • Self-starter with a solutions-oriented approach who thrives under pressure, maintains high standards, and delivers creative, strategic results
  • Excellent academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school
