Job Description:

A well-established and highly collaborative civil defense firm in Downtown Los Angeles is growing and looking to add a 3–5 year Litigation Associate to its team. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, team-oriented group where attorneys are given meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to continue developing their litigation skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle matters through various stages of civil litigation
  • Draft motions, pleadings, and legal correspondence
  • Manage written discovery and depositions
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Assist with trial preparation and case strategy

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of civil litigation experience
  • Active California Bar license
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment
  • Possess at least one year of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense work
  • Exhibit strong skills in legal research, drafting motions, and discovery processes
  • Bring experience or knowledge of personal injury defense and sex abuse case handling
  • Have a dynamic and team-oriented personality with the ability to thrive in a busy environment
  • Display excellent communication skills for client interactions and courtroom representation
  • Be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to managing a high-volume caseload

Nice to have:

  • Preferably in defense work
  • Experience or knowledge of personal injury defense and sex abuse case handling
