Job Description:

Robert Half Legal is proud to partner with a respected boutique commercial litigation firm in Century City in its search for a driven Litigation Associate. This is a dynamic, contract-to-hire opportunity for a skilled attorney seeking direct client exposure and mentorship within a collaborative team environment. The firm represents clients in a range of complex matters, including construction defect, habitability claims, personal injury, premises liability, real estate litigation, and business disputes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Draft and respond to motions, pleadings, and other court filings
  • Assist with all phases of discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery and managing depositions
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and case analyses
  • Participate in case strategy sessions and help develop litigation plans with partners
  • Support trial preparation and potentially attend hearings or mediations as needed

Requirements:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
  • Minimum 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial matters or similar practice areas
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting motions, pleadings, and conducting discovery
  • Strong research, writing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting (2-3 days onsite in Century City per week)
