Job Description:

A well-established and highly regarded defense firm with offices in Pasadena is seeking a Litigation Associate (1+ years of experience) to join its growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a entry level attorney looking to gain hands-on litigation experience while working in a collaborative, mentorship-driven environment—fully remote within California.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist with all phases of litigation from case inception through resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Propound and respond to written discovery
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy memoranda
  • Support depositions, mediations, and trial preparation

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of litigation experience (defense experience preferred, but not required)
  • Active California Bar license in good standing
  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with a team
  • Active member of the California Bar Association
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, preferably in civil litigation
  • Strong skills in drafting motions, conducting discovery, and preparing legal briefs
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently and effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in representing public entities or law enforcement is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
