Job Description:

A well-respected and growing defense firm in the San Fernando Valley is seeking a Litigation Associate (2+ years) to join their friendly, collaborative team. The firm is busy, expanding, and ready to hire a rock star litigation associate and is offering strong mentorship and long-term growth.

Job Responsibility:

  • Handle all phases of civil defense litigation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Conduct legal research and case analysis
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and court appearances
  • Collaborate closely with partners on case strategy

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of civil defense litigation experience
  • Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow
  • Must hold a valid license to practice law in the state of California
  • Minimum of three years of experience in civil litigation
  • Proven ability to draft motions, briefs, and conduct discovery
  • Strong knowledge and experience in insurance defense and liability cases
  • Demonstrated trial experience, preferably as second chair or in bench trials
  • Proficiency in utilizing cloud-based legal tools and systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload of 20-40 cases
