Job Description

A well-established, mid-sized Pacific Northwest law firm with a long-standing presence in the insurance defense space is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Seattle-area practice. The firm maintains a steady stream of work through established relationships with national and regional insurance carriers, offering associates consistent exposure to defense litigation and opportunities for hands-on case ownership.

Job Responsibility

Manage a docket of insurance defense matters from assignment through resolution
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and case evaluations
Take and defend depositions and attend hearings as experience allows
Prepare cases for mediation and trial, including witness coordination and strategy development
Communicate regularly with insurance carriers, adjusters, and clients regarding case status and exposure

Requirements

Active Washington bar license
Experience in civil litigation (defense or plaintiff experience transferable)
Exposure to discovery, motion practice, and case management workflows
Ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
