Our client, a successful national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. This position offers meaningful exposure to courtroom advocacy, deposition preparation and participation, complex motion practice, and direct client interaction. Job Responsibility
Manage litigation matters through every stage of the case, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeal
Draft sophisticated pleadings, dispositive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda that drive successful outcomes in complex commercial, regulatory, and administrative disputes
Oversee all aspects of discovery, including written discovery, e-discovery strategy, document production, and preparing for, taking, and defending depositions
Represent clients in federal, state, and administrative proceedings, taking an active role in hearings, oral arguments, and trials
Partner with clients to assess legal risk, deliver practical guidance, and develop business-focused solutions to complex legal challenges
Work closely with attorneys across litigation, regulatory, and transactional teams to deliver integrated, innovative legal solutions for a sophisticated client base
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record
2 to 5 years of litigation experience, preferably gained at a sophisticated law firm, through a federal or state judicial clerkship, or a combination of both
Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly through reciprocity or waiver
Demonstrated knowledge of the Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Produces clear, persuasive, and precise legal writing and communicates confidently and effectively with clients, colleagues, opposing counsel, and the courts
Takes ownership of assignments, anticipates client and case needs, manages competing priorities effectively, and thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial practice
