Job Description

We are working with an innovative, fully remote law firm operating within the legal consultancy sector, supporting a broad client base of start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, and entrepreneurial businesses. The firm is known for its progressive, people-focused culture and flexible platform, enabling experienced lawyers to deliver top-tier advice without the constraints of traditional private practice. This is an opportunity to join on a non-exclusive consultancy basis, undertaking a steady flow of high-quality disputes work while maintaining control over your schedule. An interest in business development and collaborating with the team lead to help grow and shape this disputes practice would be highly desirable.

Job Responsibility

  • Advise on a broad range of litigation and arbitration matters, which may include: Commercial disputes and complex contractual claims
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes
  • Cross-border disputes and international arbitration
  • Pre-action strategy, case management, and settlement negotiations
  • Working directly with founders, in-house teams, and senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales (or a comparable common law jurisdiction)
  • 6+ years' PQE with strong experience in litigation and/or arbitration
  • Training or experience gained at a recognised City, international, or leading regional firm
  • A strong track record in handling disputes from inception through to resolution
  • Confidence in working autonomously and managing client relationships
  • Experience advising entrepreneurial clients, SMEs, or fast-growth businesses is highly advantageous
  • A genuine interest in flexible, consultancy-based legal work
  • A commercial mindset with a hunger for business development, and an interest in collaborating with the team lead to help grow and shape the disputes practice
