Job Description

St Jude's has a Literacy Leader Position of Leadership available for Semester 2 2026 and the 2027 school year. This year the role does not have a classroom teacher component, it has an Intervention Teacher load where the Literacy Leader takes small groups for extension and intervention. The ongoing position is for the Classroom Teacher role, as the POL cycle is for 2 years currently and will be reviewed mid 2027 for the following POL cycle 2028-2029. The school's POL structure includes a Mathematics Leader with a similar role; both the Mathematics and Literacy Leader are part of the Teaching and Learning Team. Our Learning and Teacher Leader coordinates the team, along with the Deputy Principal/Learning Diversity Leader. Our goal is to maximise collaboration and shared learning to improving student learning outcomes and support teachers to deliver high quality learning experiences in the classroom. St Jude's utlises the Ochre Literacy and Mathematics resources, along with a variety of MultiLit programs, both whole class F-2 and intervention.
