Our partner is looking for a Listed Derivatives Operations Team Lead to join their Global Operations department in Budapest. You will lead a team of Operations professionals responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of listed and OTC derivatives. The role ensures the accurate, timely, and controlled processing of derivative transactions while driving operational excellence, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance. You will act as a key escalation point and a trusted partner to Trading, Portfolio Management, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and external counterparties.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of Derivatives Operations professionals, ensuring seamless operational coverage and individual development
Oversee the complete lifecycle of derivatives transactions, from trade affirmation and capture to settlements, margining, collateral management, and expiries
Serve as the primary subject matter expert for listed derivatives, supporting the business in navigating complex operational scenarios
Drive operational change by leading projects focused on process design, system enhancements, and efficiency improvements
Build and maintain robust partnerships with Trading, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to resolve complex issues and ensure alignment
Uphold strict regulatory standards and internal policies, representing the department during audits and reviews
Continuously refine operational policies and procedures to ensure best-in-class service and risk mitigation
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Deep understanding of the full derivatives lifecycle (listed and OTC)
Subject matter expertise specifically in listed derivatives
Proven experience in leading and developing a team
Experience with margining, collateral management, settlements, and cashflows
Strong understanding of operational risk and regulatory compliance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, self-starter mindset with an active interest in investment processes
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
Strong client focus and ability to build trust with stakeholders
