The Product Manager is an intermediate management level position responsible for managing a broad range of Product Management employees, setting strategy and providing direction, leadership and budgetary management, etc. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the development of product plans, strategies, and tactics while coordinating product lines through product life-cycles in coordination with the broader Product Management team. The overall objective of this role is to coordinate the promotion of products to develop new markets, increase share of market and obtain competitive position.
Job Responsibility:
Liquidity Management Services Product Strategy:Develop and execute strategies to optimize the LMS product portfolio, aligning with overall business objectives.
Liability Management:Develop and execute strategies to optimize liability management within the LMS product portfolio.
Deposit Growth Strategy:Drive deposit growth through innovative product development, effective marketing, and targeted sales initiatives.
Regulatory Management:Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements related to liquidity management products and services.
Balance Sheet (B/S) and Reserve Management:Manage product features and pricing to optimize balance sheet performance and reserve requirements.
New Product Development:Identify, develop, and launch new LMS products and features to meet evolving client needs and market demands.
Global Solution Localization:Adapt and implement global LMS solutions to the specific requirements of the local market.
Market Trend Analysis:Continuously monitor market trends in treasury management and optimization to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Value Proposition & Differentiation:Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, targeting, and channel strategies to establish Citi as the preferred partner.
Functional Strategy & Integration:Develop and execute functional strategies for the region, requiring coordination and integration across units. Provide input into strategic decisions affecting the job family or function.
Innovation & Market Research:Manage client and competitor market research, develop the product innovation roadmap, and address product commoditization to create advanced solutions.
Lifecycle Management & Partnerships:Oversee all aspects of program lifecycle management, including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive field. Drive innovation by working with external partners/alliances.
Financial Performance & Acquisition:Contribute to achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals. Oversee the identification and execution of opportunities and gaps in business plans.
Business Planning & Implementation:Develop and communicate a business plan to approach the marketplace. Coordinate and implement team procedures, client problem resolutions, and client management.
Stakeholder Management:Effectively manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including sales, technology, operations, legal, and compliance.
Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with LMS products and services.
Risk Management & Compliance:Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
Requirements:
5-8 years of relevant experience
Required Licensing/Registration: Series 7
Experience in marketing, credit, acquisitions, product development, and/or analytics
Experience leading cross-functional teams to define and achieve high value business goals
Working knowledge of market dynamics, products, and competitive climate
Demonstrated project management skills
Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
