We are searching for Lead, Senior, and Junior Liquid to Chip (L2C) Technicians for an operator of a brand-new, cutting-edge data center facility in Lancaster, TX, just south of Dallas. The L2C Technician is a specialist role focused on the installation, maintenance, and integrity of Direct-to-Chip (DTC) liquid cooling systems, ensuring that high-density computing clusters receive continuous, leak-free thermal management.
Job Responsibility:
CDU & Loop Operation: Operate and maintain Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), secondary filtration systems, and manifold delivery networks to ensure precise flow and pressure to the IT racks
Leak Mitigation & Testing: Perform rigorous hydrostatic pressure testing and vacuum checks on wetted joints and hoses
execute immediate containment protocols in the event of a fluid anomaly
Coolant Chemistry: Conduct regular sampling of specialized dielectric or treated water fluids
manage “flush and fill” operations to prevent bio-fouling or corrosion within the micro-channels
Deployment & Integration: Facilitate the connection of server-level cold plates to the facility-level manifold using dripless Quick Disconnects (QDs) and precision hose routing
Monitoring & Alarms: Monitor flow rates and “Approach Temperatures” via the BMS/EPMS, identifying thermal degradation before it triggers a server throttle or shutdown
Training & Mentorship (Lead): Develop training modules for junior staff and general facility engineers to ensure safe interaction with liquid-cooled IT equipment
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certifications in Hydraulics, Advanced Plumbing, or HVAC are highly preferred
Junior: 1–3 years in a technical maintenance or assembly role (e.g., high-end automotive, medical device, or industrial plumbing)
Senior/Lead: 5+ years of experience with high-precision fluid systems, ideally in Semiconductor FABs, Clean Rooms, or Power Plants
Military experience: Army Prime Power, Navy ELT/Nuke, Air Force HVAC/Power Pro Electrician
Transferable Skills: Experience with Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) or chemical delivery systems
Maintenance of liquid-cooled MRI/CT scanning equipment
Navy Machinist Mates (Auxiliary) or Air Force Environmental Systems specialists
Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and understand the physics of heat transfer and fluid dynamics
Precision & Dexterity: High level of manual “finesse” required for working with small-diameter fittings and sensitive electronic components
Work in both indoor and outdoor environments with exposure to loud noise levels
Exposure to controlled temperature conditions, cold and hot temperatures, or inclement weather conditions
Exposure to mild chemicals, mechanical and electrical hazards
Must be able to move and transport equipment weighing up to 45 lbs, operate tools, work at varying heights and ascend/descend ladders and stairs, position self in small spaces, and move between buildings
