Job Description:

Our client is a leading provider of IT managed services, supporting a diverse range of enterprise clients across Europe. We're looking for a passionate and experienced Linux expert to join their dynamic team. If you thrive on solving complex problems, driving automation, and delivering exceptional service, do not hesitate to apply! As a Senior Linux Technical Consultant, you'll be the go-to expert for Linux environments. You will be a key player in providing L3 managed services, blending high-level design and project delivery with hands-on systems administration and operational support. Your mission is to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the customer and internal platforms, all while championing industry best practices.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as the final escalation point for all Linux-related incidents, service requests, and changes, ensuring we meet our SLAs
  • Design, deploy, configure, and manage robust Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, Debian) and Kubernetes environments
  • Develop, improve, and maintain our automation strategies using Ansible, Terraform, and scripting (Python, Shell)
  • Work closely with architects, project teams, and other engineers on system design, service acceptance, and process improvements
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation and share your expertise with the team
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to resolve high-priority, business-critical incidents

Requirements:

  • Deep hands-on experience in system administration for RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, or Debian
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Strong proficiency with automation tools, especially Ansible
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite/Uyuni is a major plus
  • Solid practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Excellent scripting skills in Python and/or Shell
  • Familiarity with tools like Terraform, Gitlab, and SaltStack
  • Experience managing web servers and databases like Apache, Nginx, MySQL/MariaDB, HAProxy, and RabbitMQ
  • RHEL certification, OR 6+ years of equivalent hands-on experience
