  • Administer/update/troubleshoot air warning, missile warning & space defense systems development/test environments
  • Implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
  • Linux System Administrator responsible for the internal administration, maintenance, and management of capacity resources the integrated NISSC development environment at the Government Test Development Facility
  • Set up and manage Linux and Windows systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standards
  • Builds, configures, troubleshoots, and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space
  • Troubleshooting network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
  • Responsible for monitoring performance, system usage, and back-up and recovery
  • Familiarity with storage appliances and configurations
