We’re seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance our client's Linux infrastructure in a production environment. This role will focus on system administration, performance, reliability, and automation across critical platforms. You’ll work closely with DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to ensure stable, secure, and scalable systems.
Job Responsibility:
Administer, support, and optimize Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.)
Perform system patching, upgrades, hardening, and performance tuning
Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve production incidents
Automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, or similar scripting tools
Support virtualization and/or cloud environments (VMware, AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Work with application and DevOps teams to support deployments and environment stability
Implement and maintain security best practices, access controls, and system configurations
Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures
Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours support as needed
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration/engineering experience
Strong experience with RHEL/CentOS and/or Ubuntu in production environments
Experience with system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis
Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and backup tools
Solid understanding of networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, etc.)
Experience working in enterprise or mission-critical environments
