Due to continued growth and new contracts that have been secured, they are looking to add a number of skilled Line Mechanics to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for safety, teamwork and delivering reliable electricity to the communities they serve.

Job Responsibility:

  • Installing overhead and underground powerlines
  • Responding to faults and outages across the network
  • Carrying out maintenance and repair work
  • Testing lines and fault finding
  • Supporting the construction of new network infrastructure
  • Participating in an on-call faults roster where required

Requirements:

  • A current EWRB licence (or one in progress)
  • A Level 4 NZQA qualification (or equivalent) as a fully qualified Line Mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of electrical practices and network safety standards
  • The ability to work independently while also being a strong team contributor
  • Clear communication skills and a community-focused mindset
  • A calm approach and the ability to think clearly under pressure
  • Physical fitness and a head for heights
