This position is responsible for preparing and cooking all food items as specified by recipes and company standards and in a manner to ensure the safety of guests and team. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, and the objectives of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and cook all food items as specified by recipes and company standards
Ensure safety of guests and team
Provide fast, friendly, professional service
Prepare and cook multiple orders while maintaining consistency of plate presentation and food quality
Know menu items, daily specials, and floor plan
Follow all recipes
Assist in product placement and rotation
Complete requisitions
Greet guests and team members
Assist guests with questions regarding promotions, events, and casino areas
Maintain attendance for coverage
Perform duties in accordance with laws, regulations, and policies
Maintain departmental logs
Keep informed of company communications
Help maintain a clean, safe, and fun workplace
Ensure smooth delivery of food products
Seek help/advice from supervisor as needed
Strive to improve kitchen operation and customer experience
Lead by example
Be mindful of ways to save/generate revenues
Accept responsibility for failures
Attend required meetings
Follow all applicable laws
Promote current casino events and programs
Requirements:
Prior customer service in a fast-paced environment preferred
Must have excellent customer service/communication skills
Must maintain a neat and professional appearance
High school diploma or GED
At least six (6) months’ cooking experience in a restaurant preferred
Must be able to provide documents to work in the United States
Required to pass a drug test and obtain/maintain a gaming license
Otoe-Missouria Gaming Permit (may be required)
Food Handlers Certification
Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs. and push/pull/drag up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
