Job Responsibility:
Prepare full dishes or specific menu components following recipes and presentation guidelines
utilize various cooking methods such as poaching, braising, charbroiling, searing, and frying
maintain organization and cleanliness standards within the kitchen area
follow quality standards for meats, vegetables, fruits, dairy, and grains including proper storage
participate in departmental meetings and daily rehearsals
comply with AHC hospitality policies and procedures
assist guests and provide exceptional service beyond expectations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
minimum one year culinary experience in a busy restaurant or banquet kitchen
ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised
weekend availability
physical ability to routinely lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move over 50 pounds
adherence to safety and cleanliness standards
compliance with attendance policies
willingness to work first shift hours
participation in departmental meetings and trainings
previous culinary experience of at least one year in similar volume restaurant or banquet kitchen with successful results
willingness to follow directions and seek clarifications
skilled in safe knife handling and basic kitchen equipment operation
experience in stock, soup, sauce, or dressing preparation preferred
ability to maintain calm and professional demeanor under pressure
Serve Safe certification or similar preferred
related culinary experience preferred
