Job Description:

Seeking a Lighting Field Service Technician to work on theatrical/stage lighting, TV studio production, and architectural/creative lighting solutions. Our client is a leading provider of innovative lighting control solutions dedicated to supporting the entertainment and architectural industries. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service while enhancing the performance of lighting systems in various settings. We are seeking skilled individuals who share our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction to join our client's team on a permanent full time direct placement basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting and support for lighting control systems
  • Collaborate with the Technical Services Manager and Project Managers to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Interpret wiring diagrams and conduct startup services for new lighting control systems
  • Conduct regular maintenance, repairs, and emergency response for existing systems
  • Create field reports, maintain accurate documentation, and train customers and colleagues on system operation

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics
  • Knowledge of entertainment dimming/control systems and high voltage safety (experience with architectural and motorized rigging controls is a plus)
  • Technical degree in Theatrical, Film, or Broadcast fields, or equivalent experience or training
  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus, with willingness for overnight travel

  • Apply proven problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues
  • Identify, estimate, and quote repair and upgrade solutions that extend equipment life and save energy for customers
  • Maintain positive, professional customer relationships and build trust by consistently meeting commitments
  • Support Carrier's Field Mechanical Services for startup and warranty activities
