Job Description

We seek a skilled Lighting Designer to join our team and contribute to interior and exterior lighting design for commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Engineering Principals, Project Managers, architects, and interior designers to create innovative lighting solutions that enhance the built environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop creative lighting concepts and design presentations for commercial projects
  • Perform lighting design implementation, including luminaire selection, lighting calculations, rendering, lighting controls design, and documentation using Revit
  • Coordinate lighting designs with other engineering and design disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions
  • Review shop drawings and respond to construction correspondence
  • Conduct site visits for field investigations and quality assurance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering with a focus on Lighting Design or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in architectural lighting design for commercial buildings
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, and AGi32
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across various stages of design
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development

Nice to have

Experience or interest in sustainable design and familiarity with Climate Studio and Rhino/Grasshopper preferred
