As a Lifting Technician, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining lifting equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. You’ll work closely with customers to provide expert advice and solutions, ensuring their lifting equipment is reliable and safe to use.
Job Responsibility:
Perform inspections, testing, and certification of lifting equipment, including chains, slings, hoists, and other lifting gear
Conduct repairs and maintenance on lifting equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding lifting solutions and equipment
Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications
Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and safety regulations
Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate lifting solutions
Uphold a strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Requirements:
Can do attitude with a strong work ethic
Knowledge of Australian Standards related to lifting equipment and safety (e.g., AS 4991, AS 1418)
LEEA Diploma (or equivalent established training in lifting equipment or Engineering certification)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Current driver’s license is essential
A commitment to safety and compliance
Must be either an Australian Citizen or a holder of an Australian Permanent Residency Visa
